Ah, but they DO! It's just SO remote that we chicken tenders have absolutely NO idea who pushed the "panic button" ... and even the chickens are always sure of the "why!"
maybe the button is stuck? it needs new batteries?
 
Young kits nearby. Beware!
two (i think) hawks flying around yesterday too. the swallows and crows drove them off.

the foxes aren't going near the run at least. i can see on the camera... it's like they are just passing through. there are fields sort of near on either side. they always go in the same direction, so i am assuming it's their shortcut home and hopefully not going to come back during the day. there's a lot of activity going on in the village during the day, so i hope it keeps them away. the run os really secure and their coop is set back as far as it can go in there so they can't get too close.

THey're the smartest predators of all.They will watch you to learn your character and habits (and see if you have a dog)They pick the safest time to come around. Glad you have a camera.Make sure your latches are child proof.I hope you have hw cloth and aprons!You have a pair with kits and a den nearby

Kits are born in late March to early April and hunt on their own by the time they're 6 months old.They could be scoping out your place because they consider it a safe place to hunt.Do you free range ?
