i'm lucky if i can find layer pellets or chick crumble. if i had cows instead, i could get them anything! lol! would scrambled egg do in a pinch?
Absolutely, they love scrambled eggs. You can even add broken-up egg shells to them (yum, crunchy scrambled eggs.) Also boiled eggs.

i'm dying to know about your new additions!
I will! We were thwarted by weather and need to put up the partition in the run today, no matter what. They slept in the laundry room in their cage last night, and Cat and Husband were equally twitchy at this invasion of their space.

They will love scrambled egg. Also a tin of fish (tuna, sardines, whatever).
I sometimes buy mine beef from the grocery store - the aisle where everything is reduced because it is about to hit its sell-buy date.
Little T-Rexes just love meat!
A couple of mine a moulting too. I am relieved because last year one of them chose to moult in January and was nearly stark naked by the time the temperatures plunged to well, well below freezing. Seems like August is not a bad month to go naked!

They also love, ahem, chicken. Nothing funnier than chickens fighting over scraps of their long departed country men 🤣

i am so glad it's not just her! i was getting worried because everything i was reading was saying later!

i don't really buy meat but my husband would be happy if i did. lol!
and i guess so would the chickens.
i tried giving them tuna before and they didn't like it plain but they liked it in my sandwich 😜

I rarely eat meat but I buy discounted chicken steak and boil it up and divide it between the chickens and the cats.
Once boiled up I put it in little pots in the freezer to have on hand.
And regarding the tuna, of course a bit of mayo and some seasoning makes it much better!
