the bird flu fort...

we had that stupid giant holed chicken wire for the garden, so i'm attaching bird net to the inside to keep the smaller birds out. it's just to keep the chickens in for a little more room, so i will mind them when they are in it. i also bird netted the top before i put the roof on because it will probably rip almost immediately. but it held up for 2 nights so far.
i used bits of the old little run for the door and to cover between roofs.

You are so darn nifty! That looks fantastic, great job! Those girls are so lucky to have found their way to you.

so. i have been keeping them in the run and worrying that they aren't happy but so far (🤞🏼) nobody's complaining or trying to get out. then i worry there's something wrong with them 😂
Are you sure you are obliged to keep them in the run? In Wales it’s permitted to free range small flocks. I believe @Perris told us on Shads thread.

In the Netherlands we have to keep the chickens separated too (shield for contact with wild birds). The rules stink for hobbyists. Imho its more important to keep my chickens happy & healthy than to obey the authorities. 🤞🤞 We have these stupid lockups every winter now. With a bit of bad luck from October - June.
