These are dark Brahma chicks. Did any look like this? The pics you posted are quite blurry, but I don't believe I see any dark Brahmas.

Two black ones have the comb. One is real larger than the other. Hmm, so Maran, huh. I really thought they were the dark brahmas. Well, if all my brahmas are gals that's cool too. Just double-checked my order the unsexed chicks were Brahma and Maran. Do they look alike as chicks or something? Lemme look some up and see. I think BOTH have feathered leg/feet.

With the big single comb they're not Brahmas.

The feet are a lot more fluffy than my French Cuckoo Marans (Marans and Langshans have more lightly-feathered feet than Brahmas). Makes me wonder if they subbed Cochins for the Dark Brahmas?

Funny you should mention that (about Brahmas). We just took some more photos, this time with hubby holding them close to the camera and I walked away thinking "I don't think I have ANY Brahmas". Wouldn't the store own up to not sending an entire breed though? The only reason I placed the dang order was for brahmas; ughhh.

Anyway, here is what we got (hopefully you can see this better). I do know now the single comb one is a Maran; so I am hoping at least ONE of the others is a dark brahma.

Different hatcheries have different substitution policies. Some require you to approve a substitution. Others require you to opt out if you won't accept it (and put the opt-out button in an inconspicuous place).

Errors can happen inadvertently too. Best contact them to get it straightened out.

The black one in the second and third pictures is definitely a cockerel. He's not a dark Brahma. Maybe Marans or Langshan.
