I am so frustrated!! it appears my shells are too thick to see through. My eggs are brown, but some aren't super dark. I also have 2 EE eggs in there, so they are light green. Why can't I see anything? I think I'll run and get a stronger flashlight! but when I shine it, I see light specks where the light can get through but not through the whole shell. am I doing something wrong?
I use a flashlite and a toilet paper roll. I have Marans, their eggs are dark. And I can tell after a couple of weeks IF they have developed. Generally with the darker shell birds, I just don't care that much to know. I just let them go for 21 days. See how the hatch is going. What hasn't hatched I give 2 more days then chuck them into the garbage.
