Well, midyear exams have started, and I've discovered I am actually quite stupid when it comes to exams.
This morning I answered barely half the marks in the paper.
I'll have a virtual cry over here in the corner.

At least these ones don't count for anything, but seeing as they're meant to be easier than the real deal, I can just see myself getting, what, 20% in finals?
Let alone the universities I want to go to, I won't be able to get into any university at this rate. -.-

Tests only test your ability to remember something. Just try to remain calm and eat a good breakfast, study daily for a little bit at a time and do it before you go to sleep. That helps with retention. Remember everyone is rooting for you and never give up. When time is nearing the end, fill in all the bubbles for a chance at doing well. Usually people are just stressed and start loosing the ability to take a test. So, try to change it.

I find flash cards help me a whole lot to remember info! Depending on what you are studying, write a question on the front and the answer on the back. You can usually tailor flash cards for most subjects I think!

*string of curse words*
Just failed my second maths paper too. I defaulted on half the marks... couldn't answer any of it.
Perhaps I should be reconsidering my intended career choice. You can't exactly do engineering when you're incapable of doing any form of maths.

I see now that the majority of what I incorrectly interpreted as intelligence was actually an affinity for remembering useless bits of trivia, and things like all the countries in the world.
I've still got that, lol.

No, not really.

Well, I am pretty sure I at least passed Geography this morning. Yippee!
I never study for geography, but I usually write something that sounds nice using events from the news and my TOK presentation, and I get by. :p

Aced physics! I didn't even have to answer any questions about waves and SHM! :woot
I only put up with doing HL maths so I can do engineering and do physics in my career. :p
(Engineering seems more interesting than science alone.)

Whooooowww!!! :clap
Like you'd have a problem with physics, or geography for that matter! :p

Well, we got most of our exams back last week. I'm still waiting on maths though, which I expect is going to be somewhat of an Achilles heel, if I've even used that term correctly. :p

I did terribly on English but still managed to scrape by with a 6 (on the border). 7s for physics and chem, which I was expecting :woot and a 7 for geography, which I was not. I've never even studied for geography, I usually get a 6 if I'm lucky.
