Congrats, Lisa! I love it! But then you already knew that. LOL
The house in the background - the big yellow one - I hope they are nice and friendly and you enjoy your neighbors. Once you get to see inside that house tell me all about it!!! LOL
Looks like you got a deal! Was is an OREO? Or default? The dug up back yard, missing shingles and and fliers in the windows are bank-ish to me.
What an awesome piece of the american dream! I love the way the area looks too! Wow. You guys must be just absolutely thrilled.
Just think, you get to make that house a home! All those memories and days of living and fun... exciting!
Nothing makes me happier than first time home buyers. I hope your closing goes off without a hitch and you can shake hands and walk away with your keys and big fat smiles on your faces!

That big yellow farmhouse is so gorgeous, Angie! It will be a pleasure to drool at it from afar...it seems to be completely remodeled -- and it's ENORMOUS. I do hope to get to know the neighbors... I'll try to get them hooked on chickens, LOL!

The home was a builder's own home. Unfortunately, times got hard for him and his family and they went into foreclosure. So being able to buy this house is a little bittersweet for us because it's our dream home, but it was also someone else's. I think knowing that will always remind us to be good stewards of it and to count the blessings that we've been allowed to have. "There but for the grace of God go I," or something like that.
Yup...we are first time homebuyers. I've only been out of college for four years. We were going to wait until next year (we had already been saving for a year), but the incentives offered this year were too good to pass up.
