I survived my first week working for Walmart...

I got really lucky and ended up with a job at Walmart. After going through all the formalities and what not, I started on Monday and just got home a little while ago. I work full time Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm. I love the hours!

Our Walmart is being remodeled into a Super Walmart so I was hired to help set up the new displays and to move things around. I honestly can't believe I get paid to just organize things! Today I set up the nail polishes and the other day I printed out price labels. So far the days have been going very quickly and I hope they continue to do so! After all the negative stuff I've heard about working for Walmart, I really can't complain at all. I hope it stays that way!

So I'm very proud to say that I survived my first week working! Now I just have about 14 more to go!

You got a job organizing the MAKEUP!??? I want a job at Walmart!!
Then again, my sister had a job at K-Mart eons ago. They paid them in cash, in the BACK of the store. The employees had to walk through the store, with cash in their pockets, to leave. My sister always ended up buying something.

That's awesome CD! I love your positive attitude. My first retail job was at a Caldor(like a Kmart) and I loved it.

I have survived 9 1/2 years at Wal~Mart ! I work in the Lawn & Garden department, I love working out doors. There are many good and bad things about working at Wal~Mart, it all depends on what you make of it. I am a career girl, I suppose, since I have no plans to go anywhere else at this time.

How many more of us work at Wal~Mart ?????
