I have 5 golden comets. I’m pretty sure they are all hens. But I’ve been noticing I’m only getting 4 eggs per day. They are new layers, hatch date is April 4th I believe. They all are healthy, eating, drinking, running for treats. But every day I get 4 eggs. One was being broody, which I was a little surprised about considering the breed. But after I removed the eggs she went back to her normal routine. Could she be not laying? Also, they are confined to their run currently while I work some things out in my yard. So theres no way they are laying in a weird spot. What could it be? Vents all look healthy, I don’t see signs of being egg bound.

It is very common to get less eggs than the number of hens you have. I would bet that they are all laying, just not all on the same day. Laying an egg is a kind of, sort of game, not an exact, perfect egg every 26 hours is a general rule, with leeway both sides.
