I hate to think what my chicken math is going to look like when chicks arrive at the feed stores. I do really well controlling myself until..
They mark them down to $1!?!? Then the bargain shopping, feather lover in me cannot resist!

Yeah. I was in the Dutch kind of Tractor supllies (i suppose) where they sell layer feed, chicken coops and such. If you can buy 3 chickens for 1 euro you can add : + 20 kilo layer feed, 18 euro + a bag of straw or shavings , 5 euro + 1 coop for 5 but actually 3 Chickens , 350 euro.

That adds up to 376 euro’s. Guess that counts for approx. 6 euros for each egg in the first month if you are lucky the pullets lay immediate after buying. Cause after a month you buy another coop or an extra run, because this ready made coop is too small for all the chickens you have and way tio small for what you want to buy.
