Other things to look for:I have an EE w/ a reddening comb and an Australorp with a very red comb. I didn’t know about the laying down thing. Anything else to look for? Is this your first go around?
A lack of saddle feathers and huge showoff tail?I have an EE w/ a reddening comb and an Australorp with a very red comb. I didn’t know about the laying down thing. Anything else to look for? Is this your first go around?

Sorry, couldn't resist.![]()
Just to update things here, my BO started laying just to prove me wrong of course, lol. She just turned 5 months on the 28th of August. I'll keep my guess the same though because your BO's comb and wattles are still a bit pale. I'll get a picture of mine for reference in a bit.My Buff Orpington hatched on April 28th and is a month older than yours and she still hasn't laid yet.
So I'm gonna say Barracuda, the EE, will lay first. My guess is September 25th.
Lilac the Buff Orpington will lay on . . . October 13th.
It's not the 28th of september yet?Just to update things here, my BO started laying just to prove me wrong of course, lol. She just turned 5 months on the 28th of September.
