I thing my egg is dead please help me; this is the first time that I try to hatch an egg

Hello,

since a week I have an egg from a duck. Just a normal duck like this one. But I’m a bit worried that the egg is dead. When I put the flashlight from my phone under the egg, there is a black spot, like really big it floats with the way I’m turning. But that wasn’t always like that. Yesterday the blackspot wasn’t moving, so I kinda turned the egg a bit harder than normal, so now it’s turning again.

I thing my egg is dead.
What am I supposed to do?

do you have any pictures of the egg being candled? If it is dead then you can throw it out before it rots

Post a few pictures of it if you can. It could be rotten. Worst case, you can get a few new eggs and try again.
