I think he tried to Scam me!....

I didn't read the other postings but he DID scam you. You didn't get the $20 ea. you were asking and it would be nothing to post a new ad for less money and then delete it making it look as though it was your ad with your number. I don't ever put my number in my ads.

Further the first couple of responses are always Phishers. They never ask the right questions or the english is iffy at best. I also try to meet the party at another location to make the transaction. Someplace safe. You have to be on your guard. Ladies never go alone if you can help it. Meet at a busy store or shopping center and in the day time.

The monday after I turned 21 I went and applied for a conceal and carry permit - and bought a pistol (already had one I trained with my dad with - but shhh) so I always feel safe carrying one with me. - I also if I am going to meet someone at my house (more convenient for me or i'm selling furniture) if its just me - i'm okay with that - my dogs are loose in their underground fence - but one will break the fence line whenever I'm not outside and the other will break it for me on command - my eldest dog my pit mix is trained to attack, bite, hold, evade, and release on command as well.

if my daughter is home with me - I always make sure my dad or my neighbor will be here just as a precaution. However the dogs laying down and staring at someone and the gun on my hip is enough for anyone to not mess with me.

Taking precautions is necissary in today's world. Bleenie - please do not post your # or address on any craigslist ads - thats just asking for trouble. If you're going to list a # list your cell phone - never your home number. Give a general area like me - I live on a road thats 7 miles long - so I say "Mcghees Mill rd area near the state line" if someone asks a location - until they say they commit to coming out and I will give them my address the day they are planning to come out. I tell people straight up I am not comfortable giving out my exact address for safety reasons and I usually have no one give me issue about it.

In the future - just take some precautions and be prepared to deal with buttheads and scammers - and again - ask for money BEFORE you pack up any animals or hand over the box/cage unless of course its someone you've done good business with before.

Thank you for all the tips and stuff guys, i appreciate it. My mother was here with me, we had just piced her up to come out and help build a little duckling house. Everyone else was home, we just happened to be the only ones outside when the guy showed up.

I ONLY post my cell phone number and never give my address out until i know they're going to buy. I am at home most of the time because i take care of all our animals and stuff, we have dogs but they're all pretty stupid, old or blind(lol) so i do feel a little less safe since i lost my rottie girl early this year, she was a wonderful protection dog & VERY bonded to me.
