I think her eye is gone. Graphic pictures do not look if sensitive

Yes I just got done reading the thread that you posted.thank you for posting that. I had no idea It could be that serious. :( I hope it’s not that. Shouldn’t I still dose them with antibiotic in their water? Or just do the triple antibiotic ointment in her eye? Thanks again so much for all the help and info. I so appreciate it.

So does anyone think I can Or should use these eye drops? A5A04C2E-9D07-46F1-9AED-F6CBE3F40D37.jpeg

I would use the terramycin eye ointment. I had the same thing happen to a hen. I put the ointment on her eye and it did get better. I have had a bird that did loose an eye and she lived a good long life. I have a cockerel that was blind. I always kept a pan of food and water in a special place and he would find them and eat and drink. There is always hope. Good luck...

Yes, the tobramycin eye drops should be okay to use, since they treat gram positive and gram negative bacteria. It also contains a steroid for inflammation. Terramycin eye ointment from the feed store is good for MG, and plain Neosporin or Triple Antibiotic Ointment would be good as well in place of the drops.

I would go ahead and use some tylan (tylosin) in the water if you can get that. Oxytetracycline, denagard, or Baytril will also treat MG. If you smell a bad odor or it seems like coryza, sulfa antibiotics may be better for that.
