Is there a place we can sticky this across the top of all tattoo parlors????

Relax, Debi, nothing you can do, not your problem. I tried so hard when my son was around that age to make him see the foolishness of some of his choices, and they were a lot more serious than a tattoo. Now he's 33, and much stricter with his kids than I was with him, and of course now sees I was right. We just have to learn our own lessons. I did, too, and suspect you did, as well.

That ranks right up there with two or three of the funniest posts I have read on BYC.

Agreed! Perhaps the lighting has changed instead?

Someone (or two..

) is going to be visiting a shop for a cover-up tat or laser removal. I don't mind tats; I have a large one on my shoulder blade. But a name?!?! Unless it is a relative or a child, I'd NEVER get a name tattooed on myself. I don't care if DH wants it for a 50th wedding anniversary!

Honestly, I'd just laugh, Deb. It's done and unless he meets Mrs. Right who has the same exact name (or stays with current girlfriend), he's gonna be sporting an awkward smile when he asks for it to be covered up or removed. They aren't the first....and unfortuantely not the last, to pull this cute stunt.

You know, I don't mind the whole name of your significant other thing. I wouldn't do it, I prefer to get a design that represents him instead....but come on..fiance? At least wait till you're sure you'll get through the first year of marriage first.

Gee Wiz, where i'm at, if you get or have a tatoo you are white trash! At work when the subject comes up, watch out. The girls that get the tatoos on their lower backs are considered LOOSE < to put it nicely. They call them tramp stamps. Some places its considered cool and in other places you are written off.
