I got a buff orp from Meyer in a mixed breed order, raised by a hen. Now 24 weeks old, she free ranges with the rest of them - they have 7 acres, but nobody ventures more than 1 acre or so. Pictured with her Egyptian Fayomis friend. I got 2 "flighty/good foragers" (the other an Ancona) to try to encourage the dual purpose breeds to forage more. They are too young to see how well this turns out, but so far so good.
