I'm glad there have been no more missing chickens but at the same time I wish you would have caught something. I'd never get a good nights sleep knowing that something is out there. Animal or Kid.

I'd lock 'em up and set up a camera... you catch him on film and he's toast.

Even better would be if there weren't any chickens in the coop... just a recording of snoozy clucking... mwahaha...

Granted, some might consider that entrapment... but I reckon it's just catching a trespassing piece of poo thief.

Edit... well that's what I get for not reading all posts before posting... still like the tape idea though, adds a little salt to the wound.

My sneaky mind is loving the though of the 'cam isn't working' rumor... hehe...

I've been thinking of cameras too, but for the workshop. Seems here they'd rather have tools.

Yes indeed it is pretty low of someone to steal any of your critters. When you think of what is happening around the world. You may have to lock down your drinking water.

I will tell you another, How Low can you get, story. The strange guy that lives across the street from me. Stole, every large Blue rock, that I had around my trees (23 trees).
I gathered the blue rocks over a period of 3 years. I walk about all over the desert and roads. whenever i would find the blue rock, I would stack all the large ones along the side of the road. Mark my spot, hike home, get the car and go get them. The trunk of my car became a truck bed. Any how, I collected said rocks for 3 YEARS. They really looked nice and fit into my desert landscaping.
I used to wonder about a pile of small rocks that sat at the end of the guys driveway. What he did was fill in the large rock space with a bunch of the smaller ones.
I am a rock freak. I know my rocks. I placed each one around my trees and in the yard. He did the nasty deed over a span of time, so well, that it took me a long time to connect the dots. I would look at my rocks and question myself, thinking, Didn't I have a large rock there? I have the rocks spread out over 1 acre. He ask me to come over and look at one of his trees. So, I went over there. He had all these large Blue Rocks around his stuff. I asked him where he got them, and he said, he got them off of the corner of our street, when it washed out from a flash flood. NOT! We both live on the corner with an empty lot next to the road. I look at that corner all the time. There is a shelf of the blue stone that crosses the road in several places. There was not any rocks that were that big in all the washout area. When the road grater goes down the road he tosses up blue rock, here and there. This is some of the places I have gathered from. The size was as large as I could lift into my trunk. I kept a black tub, the kind to hand mix cement in, in the trunk of my car. I could get 4-5 large rocks into the tub. that was all the weight that I dared put in the car. I knew he was telling a lie. I told him that they sure looked like mine that some, Snake in the Grass had stolen from me.(I did use stronger language). He was all, I'm so sorry, who would do such a thing. You should have seen his eyes. But then he is always High on something. No one in the area will have any thing to do with him. He is known as the biggest thief and drug seller/buyer/cooker. And I get to live across the street from him.

My dogs don't like him either. Who would think that someone would steal Rocks

when i was in staples getting the wires the neighbor with the 3 boys .. well she worked in there and asked what we needed with the wires.. and DD blew the spy plan..
