I think I have a problem

as long as the other chickens are not harming them....

Have you thought about making the "hiding place" impossible to get into?

Forcing them to face the rest of the chickens is not as stressful as them not eating or drinking. Again, as long as the other chickens are not actually harming them.

My EE is not sweet and gentle at all

. She is mean enough to the other girls that we are thinking of eating her. She doesn't lay green eggs either, the deck is stacked against her

Gee Debi, when your title said "I think I have a Problem" I agreed- I had no idea it would be about chickens!

But.... I kept a wire wall between mine for 3 long months. The day I took it down, I watched like a nervous Mom, and thay did have to sort out the pecking order (I call it the chain of command), then it turned into WAR! I now have 2 separate coops and pens, a third set almost finished.

Can't we all just get along?

Sometimes you have to just let them sort it out, kind of like kids. As long as they get feed an water, they'll be ok- someday.

Not that it answers your question but I just have to say your post title had me laughing... "I think I have a problem".... don't all of us who come here? I think we're all pretty much forum addicted, hatchaholic, chicken raisers.

Both of you have me crackin up!!! I know alot of these threads are about getting their first egg or starting to lay again, etc., and I consider Wussie chickens a problem.

Can you take the 4 EE's and put them separate and introduce 1 of the existing flock for a day, the another the next day, then another?

I can try that. They are rather big to be in that brooder. HAHAHA! I can see the look o ntheir faces now when I take one away!
