I think I have a second Roo..... 😕

We have a flock of 11. 6 Brahmas and 5 Barred Rock. I specifically ordered one Brahma roo, and the rest hens. But I got a surprise extra Brahma in the order. Along the way we lost a Brahma, which I assume was a pullet. As they have developed, this one is looking more and more like a roo. So, here's the question... Can I keep 2 roo's with 9 hens in a 18x8 run safely???(No ability to free range due to high predator area and we live right off a busy hwy) Both roos are Brahmas. The surprise guy is a little more aggressive than my expected roo. Nothing terrible as of yet. And the surprise roo has his favorite pullet. What's the chances I won't be forced to put him in the freezer?

2 roos and 9 hens will likely not work. You'll hear varying opinions, but facts are that the suggested ratio is 1:10 for hens and roos. 2:9 won't work out too well. Pick the nicer of the two to keep.

Me too, and thanks. I have been watching him for a few weeks now, and suspected. Worse part is... neither of them are the one that was marked a roo... I drove 3 hrs to collect them because the hatchery wouldn't let me order just one roo. But, I guess it's whatever! We will deal with it. But, the "choice" will definitely be the surprise one. Roo-tabega is big and beautiful and sweet. He developed very early. When I was able to free range, a mean roo was a must. But i want to be able to safely take the grandkids into the run. So, Roo-tabega is safe... for now....
