The head shape looks like a spalding. Cool.
I have an egg in my incubator that I am hoping is from my spalding hen.

Yep and Spaldings are good for people in colder places that want green peafowl, but can't have the heated roost for one because they can tolerate the cold better than greens, still some peafowl owners lost some of their high % spaldings this last winter so it depends on the amount of green blood they have...

Spaldings can look very different with some looking more like an India blue, some being in the middle (slight yellow face with a more turquoise color neck and a faint scale look), with some looking almost identical to a green. That becomes a problem because you can think you are buying a green peafowl but you are really getting a high % spalding, ect.

Here is my favorite picture of a high % spalding:

Andy it definitely looks dark enough to be spalding...Is it from your Java peacock? It is really cute!

I am just glad that nobody could see the look on my face when I scrolled down to the second picture. I have really poor eyesight. At first glance. the second picture looked like she was crossed with a Longhorn. I figured out that the long head piece was the netting behind her. She is a pretty bird once I get her into focus.
