Three of my first four runners were boys -- and they all got along fine. Interestingly, the lone hen became the leader of the group; I think they may have been afraid of her because she was NOT over-mated. Good for you for sticking with your boys!

what’s your male to female ratio? you may not need to seperate them at all, some people say 5+ hens per drake but my drake who stays with my 2 hens is completely fine with just themThank you so much! I absolutely love all my ducks and cried at the thought of rehoming any of them. I raised these stinkers from eggs, you best bet I'm keeping them with me!
My male Mallards all eventually got the olive green bills that were Drakes and also had a green sheen to the top of their heads when they were only about 4 weeks old. Some people say both their males and females had the green sheen on their heads but the ones that I had out of 11 ducklings were all Drakes that had it. You can't see any of the bills in yours so hopefully they don't turn out to be mostly Drakes.I got 6 new calls on 4/10/21. I had 4 calls b4 but a mink got in and killed all my girls, I got to my drake but he was ripped up badly. I was able to save, so I got more calls but don't know the sex. Could anyone tell me the sex ? I hope I don't have a ratio problem.
The calls I had before the attack had a green sheen on head all turned out to be all girls n 1 drake. Now my drake recovered from the attack so I got more. I'm only hearing 1 so far w a deep tone as they are not quacking yet. I just don't want boys fighting. Thank you for the postMy male Mallards all eventually got the olive green bills that were Drakes and also had a green sheen to the top of their heads when they were only about 4 weeks old. You are most welcome and it is so funny how different breeds can be so absolutely different. I hope you end up with only one. I ended up with 6 Drakes and five girls that I sold out of my hatch of 11. Hopefully if anymore hatch out in this incubator they are all hens. Thank you. I will have to wait n see. I'm happy with all males. Not looking to hatch any and don't want drama in the yard. My other group I had were perfect and I miss them alot. Time will tell if I have boys or girls in this group. Thanks for the chat. You are most welcome and it is so funny how different breeds can be so absolutely different. I hope you end up with only one.
