A friend of ours recently got a goldwing. goodlord, it's like riding a car! I don't understand buying a bike only to wind up with a wannabe car, but it sure was comfy!

Oh, I recently heard Harley was going to start fiddling with it's engine design in order to keep up with the quality of Honda and other bikes. Whoop! They're starting to see the light!

Back on the Harley thing:

I love Harleys. I'd love to have one.

The trouble is you do pay a premium for the name. I'm sorry but a Yamaha,
Kawasaki, or Honda has tighter tolerances, better engineering, and MUCH
better reliability. That is just a fact.

Sure, if you dish out 17 to 24 thousand dollars on a brand new Harley it's not
gonna give you any problems.

Maybe when Drumstick is done with college I'll treat myself to one.


Harley Davidson currently has 4 times the market capitalization as GM. That
means HD is worth, on paper, 4 times what General Motors is worth. That's
just nuts.

Last Xmas my hubby called me from work asking me to bid on a Honda Hawk racing bike he saw on ebay. I did and won the auction, he came home, I told him and he told me he was joking ( I know he wasn't really but he never thought I'd do it for him )

Now he has his bike and I have my chickens.

We have a Goldwing and we always here, "that's like riding in a Cadillac".
When DH and I were shopping that is the only thing he would look at we love it. I always feel kinda sorry for the passengers on some of the other bikes we ride with.
Long rides for me are great!
We ride with Harleys, Hondas, Yamahas..........It's all good.

Years ago when I was single and had saved up some money I told my girlfriend I could either buy a shiny new motorcycle or an engagement ring.

I bought the ring.

She tells me that if I ever regret my decision I can sit on her big ole shiny ring and go VROOM VROOM. I know I made the right choice......... but just in case i should have picked out a smaller diamond.
