I think I just got a warning :)

Heya, almost neighbor - I live in Grass Valley; my aunt, uncle, cousins live in Yuba City. We also have a Maine Coon - big ole lazy ball of fur that only runs when it's for kitty treats or away from the chicks or mice!

We have another cat, shelter kitty, that would love nothing better than to gobble them up. When the chicks were in the brooder in our bathtub, he would just stand there looking in with this longing in his eyes. With the bigger girls, he does "run bys". They'll be out free ranging all in a group and he'll run through the middle of the group just to scatter them (He's a pretty small kitty, so he doesn't try to attack them; the Blue Orps are about 3x his size). Did have a broody who chased his furry butt and boy was he shocked! A couple of weeks ago I was upstairs in the computer room when two deer went running past the window. A moment later, here came Sonic, hot on their heels. Big aspirations for a little kittah!

Sounds like your kitty is certainly giving you a warning - I'm sure he's really miffed that you bought these wonderful play toys/appetizers for him and now won't let him have them. What an unkind mommy you are! Good luck.

I would post a pic of my Maine Coon but it would be just like reposting yours!! With the only exception being mine has green eyes, Jasmine could be that cats twin! My Bengal is actually pretty quiet though... never makes a sound but the Maine Coon on the other hand is quite chatty. She talks about everything!! I know that my Bengal is always going to be one that has to be watched but I still love him!! He was a rescue from a bad breeder and not many were equipped to handle the Bengal breed. I have had experience with feral cats and as a rehabber so thankfully I qualified and could take him as a baby. On the plus side we have no rodent problem to speak of...
