I Think I want Guinea Fowl

Where do you get the ones that don't mess with your garden? lol Mine mowed down all my lettuce field.
we started our guineas with eggs hatching. We love our guineas. They are a bit nosy, well that too, meant noisy but they are great pest control without tearing our gardens up and also serve as alerts to us if something is happening outside in the poultry world - as in predators and make great alerts to us when folks are driving up the road to our farm as well.

That sounds too close to work. ;)
Friggy, come build me about 10 of those... I'll pay ya?

LOL... hard lesson learned, never ever feed your Guineas anything from your garden that you do not want them mowing down if/when they get a chance to... because they WILL,in a heartbeat! (I know, your Guineas adopted you, so you have no control over that with this flock).

I home can or freeze almost all of my homegrown produce (that isn't cooked or eaten fresh), so NO birds allowed in my gardens!!!!... Way too much work for me to sacrifice all of that home grown goodness to becoming Guinea forage. I do appreciate all their composted manure/litter to help me grow super sized fruits and veggies tho

And I do grow a designated patch of mixed greens JUST for the birds each year, plus they get the all the kitchen veggie craps... but only when I pick it for them or give it to them IN THEIR TREAT PANS, not when they decide to hop the fence and pick their own, lol.
