I think I'm broody...

I know! It's awful, my first guineas and I'm missing it. :( I'll just be racking up a lot of miles on the truck this week.

Congrats on all your early hatchers! I'm jealous I wish I had 3 already, I'm anxious! :)

Here's some wet-pictures of the first keet. :) I can't wait to take dry pictures and figure out what color she is!

Aww, cute. From those pics... looks like a Chocolate to me, but I can't tell if it has squiggly head stripes or not, or if it has white all the way up to the shoulder. Can't wait to see it once it's dry and fluffed.

What were the colors in the flock that egg was from? I looked for the post where you listed all the colors for both batches of eggs, but I can't find it.

Yeah it's a cutie. I'm home now, it's alllllmost all dried off but it's slipping around something awful on that paper towel... There's one making a lot of progress now and then one that's still pipped, so I'm very afraid to open the incubator to get it out to fix the legs or put any other type of footing in there. Ugh it's always something... any suggestions?

The possible colors for this first keet are: Cinnamon, White, Pied, Chocolate, Brown, Pearl Gray, Royal purple, violet, Bronze, Copper, Pewter, Slate, Lavender, Coral blue, Sky blue, Lite Lavender, Lite Blue, Powder Blue, Pastel, Buff Dundotte, Buff, Porcelain, Opaline and Ivory.

Second one is out. I'm stressing about this first one having trouble on the "slick" footing.. There's still one egg that's pipped in this incubator.. So what do I do?

Here's an updated picture, it's all I got. The newest one is on the left, this was taken a few minutes after it hatched.

Possibilities for him are: Pearl Grey, Royal Purple, Pied, Chocolate, Brown, Bronze, White, Buff Dundotte, Lavender, Coral Blue, and Sky Blue.

Okay, I put some shelf liner in the bottom for them and now the first one is standing well. That was nerve wracking. I wet a paper towel and held it over the membrane of the pipped egg while I had the bator open, and I sprayed a couple squirts of water when I closed it back up... While I feel worse about the eggs that are pipped, I definitely feel better about keet number one. The camera is running pretty steady now, so feel free to check it out. I've gotta head back out here pretty soon, so hopefully nothing too exciting happens, though I am hoping that the pippers will make their way out tonight. I'll be back tomorrow morning to put the keets in their brooder box. It sure sucks that I can't be home for this... *Sigh* oh well, it is what it is.

Now that lil guy looks darker, and Royal Purplish, lol. His body down looked lighter in the other pics. So I'll have to wait until you have them all fluffed and dried and moved to the brooder.

And yay! The cam is working for me, now I'll be glued to my laptop watching your hatch cam and MY own hatcher window, LOL

Good luck with your other eggs!

I can't wait for them to be all dried off and fluffed up so I can take pictures!

I think I've got the cam setup figured out now so that there's LIGHT and so that it'll stay on. :) Enjoy watching! :D I know I will!

LOL doesn't get much cuter than that. Too bad they don't stay that cute huh!?!

I see on your hatch cam that you have 3 keets as of the AM, Congrats! Today the 1st keet looks Chocolate to me again, lol. Still just 3 keets for me, the other 2 eggs are pipped tho. And there's 6 or 7 out of 12 Turkey eggs pipped. I like my cabinet hatcher, for the capacity, but it's not so easy to get pics, see who has pipped and who hasn't and I can't see/watch much of the hatching action. I may have to line the inside with those stick on mirror tiles or something LOL.
