We started out by answering a CL ad for a free white crested polish rooster, came home with 2 mixed bantam hens, a mixed bantam roo, and the polish.

Now, a year and a half later we have over 50 chickens, plus 3 turkey eggs and an assortment of chicken eggs in the incubator due to hatch in a week.

To top it off, one of our BOs should be hatching some this weekend.

We are working on 4 more coops since none of the roosters get along, and the kids can't bear to part with them.

My husband can be found out talking baby talk to them instead of getting anything done!

We also do the chicken drive by, akcharlie1960, keep noticing more chickens everytime.

Ha ha! I was just telling my co-workers that I caught my husband "checking out the girls" from our deck. He was watching them meander through the yard and just tonight he was reporting their antics. We lost one of our 4 when they were 9 weeks old and I am just waiting for him to suggest we get more! He caught the bug

. I was hoping it would be catchy.
