My white Jersey Giant, Harvey, was giving me all black chicks! I had some discussions here about that and was told that perhaps a second generation will give a white chick. Well, I have a chick that is NOT black and am excited! I have 3 of Harvey's hens and believe that this chick is from one of them. I'm so happy to see something other than black again! I'm glad someone told me this could happen and it DID!!! Yippee!

Yes, me too! Maggie is a wonderful Mom and has little chick (aka Ginger) outside the run already. I'm glad she knows how to mingle and integrate the chick early into the flock! They were off alone for a while today and I gave them meal worms!
