I always wonder how you can feed a hen cayenne pepper to lay more eggs & it doesn't bother her, but people think hot sauce in an egg will stop egg eating. How does that work?

Blown eggs filled with hot sauce stopped the egg eating in my flock. As soon as they broke an egg they were wiping their beaks and shaking their heads. Maybe it wasn't the taste, but the fumes that stung. Either way, it worked for us.
