Birds can recover from Mareks!? I thought once they got it that was it, the bird wasn’t going to make it.If it's Marek's, some birds may recover over time
I have had many birds that I’ve doctored over the years that I’ve put the time an patients into, and I don’t mind. But I don’t think she’s able to poop, she’s been trying and it’s not working. Is there any I could give her for that? And do you mean b-complex for humans?Without testing it would be hard to know if it's Marek's or not.
If you feel she's in pain and suffering, then putting her out of her misery is the kindest thing to do.
You can try vitamin therapy and placing her in a sling to see if that helps at all. 1/4 tablet B-Complex once a day.
If it's Marek's, some birds may recover over time. Caring for a bird that is not able to move will require your time and energy so keep that in mind. You will need to ensure that she's eating/drinking well, that she's cleaned (birds that don't move get soiled) and she would need to be checked on frequently.
They can "recover" meaning they don't show symptoms, but birds with Marek's are carriers for life.Birds can recover from Mareks!? I thought once they got it that was it, the bird wasn’t going to make it.
