I think my birds might have mites

I just went out to check on my birds and I noticed tiny fly-looking things. They are lying all over my birds. I noticed it mostly with my little silkie. The other birds are eating them off of them. I'm not sure what they are or if I'm just overreacting ove a couple of bugs

Are they mites? and If they are what should I do?

Hm, I never had them - but treat the birds with DE, maybe you can dust them at night when they are roosting so they are easier to pick up.
