I think my chicken has lice!!

I picked up my baby Polish the other day and a whole bunch of bugs jumped off of her. I gave her a bath and there are still a lot of them left between her shoulder blades plus whatever I can't see. A couple people told me they were probably lice. What should I do to get rid of them?!

I typed in "Fleas" in the search box at the top of the page and got about 600 threads to come up. Got a pic of the fleas or are they mites?

are they sticktight fleas? (they don't sound like it because they jumped from what I have read)

I don't have a picture but I saw one on her today and they are oblong and sort of a clear tan yellow-ish color.

That sounds like lice not fleas to ,e...al the fleass I have seen are little black bugs...but not an expert

We just checked the rest of our flock and found out that almost all of them are covered in bugs and eggs. We found that a couple of them had eggs all caked up in the feathers underneath their beak and did our best to pull out those feathers to keep the eggs from hatching on the birds. Is the treatment for a small flock the same as for a single bird?
