Hi all!

My baby chick was roaming around my front yard all alone and i noticed a bunch of stray cats roaming around so i decided to take care of it. I assume that it is a boy and named it Winston but as he’s getting older he’s starting to develop more features. Could this be a hen instead? ALSO what breed do you think it is ? Please lmk !

Very cute. Check in again once it's fully feathered (around 6 weeks old).

I agree with Logar. Chickens can get very lonely and this little one needs other chicks for company. Good job rescuing it!

If you can, I would recommend getting at least 3 other female chicks from a hatchery.
I’ve never taken care of a chicken before and I’m afraid it would be too much if i get 3 more. Would it be ok to just get it one more? And would there be a risk of them not getting along ?

That is an incredibly cute chick. Please keep us updated 😍

I’ll consider it! Maybe build a nice little coop in the backyard for them haha. Do you happen to know what kind of breed it could be ?
