I think my chicken is dying! HELP!!!!!

That might be a good thing. But the only other advice I have is you have the infamous "lethargic chicken" I have never seen a great answer to this. Mostly just supportive care. The drench and poly were a good thing. All I can offer as advice is to throw anything you can think of at her. Doing anything is better than doing nothing. I have had this a few times and tried anti-biotics, electrolights & vitamins, any treat I thought she might eat. keeping her inside warm and in a dim quiet room. It has been partially successful.

Wish you good luck

Missed some of the posts-

Chickens will sometimes act "off" when there is a change to their life. But I've not read that they can be pushed over. So the loss of the roosters could have an impact on her demeanor. But this sounds like more.

I still think that her crop looks large, so check it in the morniing, to see if she digested everything.

Is vet an option?

We don't have any close that would look at a chicken. I guess warm, vitamins, rest, good food, and quiet it is then. Thank you for your time. Very much appreciated.

She looks as though she has an impacted crop. She may have eaten something that won't digest. Do you give her grit with her food? There are some posts here about how to fix an impacted crop by doing minor surgery yourself. If she is not eating, I'd say that might me one possibility. Also, if you are using any Ice Melt products on your premises, they are VERY Toxic to animals.

She is eating scrambled eggs and cooked oatmeal now. Laying here on my computer desk. Drank some too. looks sleepy. except when the bunny hops by then she looks annoyed.

Eating & drinking & looking annoyed are good signs

not sure if this matters but when she lays down she leans over to one side? Hope she will be ok, not so sure though.

Have some more questions. It has been days, for this poor bird. She still eats but very little, still drinks a good bit, her stools are watery now but I think that is because she eats hardly anything, and drinks, but I don't know. No sour or impacted crop, no egg binding, no running nose, or eyes, no wheezing, no coughing, breathing seems normal. I read about Clostridial enteritis and it is really the only thing that seems to fit except she isn't dead yet. It has been almost a week she's been sick. I tried giving penicillin 1/2 cc per day. But tonight I an gonna give 1/2cc twice today? Any one have any other suggestions, I figure she has held on this long She deserves to be made well again.
