Thanks to everyone for their well wishes for both me and Gertie. We're both doing better now!(Although I'm pretty sure we both think about Harriet everyday). The responses here have been amazing - encouraging, kind, and even philosophical. I love it! And the validation didn't hurt either - my coworkers did NOT understand my running all over town looking for help for Harriet. C'est la vie.
