I believe one of my chickens has a cold. I guess my mother in-law heard her sneeze today and the last couple of days she has been lethargic and not acting like herself. I'm not sure what to do but was planning on dropping by my local Kahoots and asking for some advice. Thought I come here first. Thank you in advance.

She may have mycoplasma gallisepticum, aka roup. It's extremely common. If you do some research on it you could compare your bird's symptoms. It normally clears up on its own, though may take a year, during which time her eggs will be fewer than normal and may have characteristic marks, dents or holes in the sharp end.

Mycoplasma Gallisepticum (MG) or also known as Chronic Respiratory Disease (CRD), is the most common cause for respiratory illness. Other possible respiratory diseases that can cause similar symptoms are Infectious Laryngotracheitis Virus (ILT), Infectious Bronchitis Virus (IBV), Infectious Coryza or since it’s going around, Avian Influenza (AI). You can read more about them below, treatments and prevention as well as testing are available in the articles below ⬇️
