I Think the Weather is Playing With Us.

Hello!
Here in Kansas, we have been having a little bit of a drought. Most of our grass is dead and the flowers are only alive because we water them daily. We have been hoping for rain to water the grass for a while, and yesterday, thought we might get it.

Yesterday, there were storms in the forecast and we were excited. We kept hearing the thunder rumble and couldn't wait for it to start raining. My mom called me from about 2 miles away while she was driving to pick my sister up from somewhere. She said that they had to stop at the side of the highway because it was raining so hard they they couldn't see. And that storm was headed our way! We couldn't wait for the rain.

But, 2 hours later, we still didn't have any rain. I decided to check the weather radar. The storm had completely missed us!
Today, we are supposed to get rain, but have only had sprinkles. I think the weather is playing with us.

And you know what this means? More watering for me to do....... Oh, fun.

Having the same problem in Pennsylvania. It hasn't rained for weeks and when you walk on the grass it crunches underneath your feet. The weather man calls for thunderstorms everyday but nothing happens...its driving me crazy!!!

Colorado is in a drought too. We did have a good storm a little over a week ago though, so this month's water is already taken care of.

We went from week and a half of 100 degree weather to almost a full week of rain.

Yep 100 degree weather for over a week an no rain for over a month.... Then a week of monsoon rain....

May have been a month of no rain. I hadn't really noticed till I arrived back from costa rica and the pilot said it had cooled off to 93 degrees around 10:30 at night.

Just had a downpour here. It was so loud, I had to turn the tv up to hear the movie I was watching. No grass mowing today!
