Well, we had five eight month old chickens. Then two weeks ago...oh the little fuzzy butts were calling to us and we ended up with four new ones (two barred rocks and two EE) after visiting the feed store. Then today...back to the feed store for feed/shavings and they had the cutest little black and white chicks. I tried to resist. I walked past and looked at the bunnies. They even had two puppies there that they were trying to find homes for...but those little black and white peepers where calling me. Needless to say we came home with two more. Now, we live in a residential area with a modest back yard. I think my neighbors are going to start calling me the crazy chicken lady. I just love having them. I wish I had more property!
So today it was beautiful out and we were working on our new coop, and laughing at how much we go through for our birds. The good news is a friend gave us an old coop so a few fixes and we'll be set in that area. Just need the run and roof for winter.
Here's some pictures:
It was really hot out today so a little time outside to meet the other chicks
Aren't they adoreable?
I think they were tired of pictures by now...lol
Everyone hanging out together...actually did very well but we will seperate for now where they can see each other til they get a bit older.
What do y'all think?
