I think this is my maran

I had three olive eggers and two marans hatch. The breeder uses marans as her source for olive eggers…. So at hatch one of my chicks died. I didn’t know if it was a maran or olive egger. They all looked the same black with black feather legs.

I think this is my black copper maran rooster, what do you think?

I have a Cuckoo Marans and she has beige with grey legs.

as long as they are not yellow, you are good to go. The bottoms of the feet are usually pinkish. Any yellow is a big no no. It can be bred out if it shows up, but it is definitely a problem.

Here’s my problem….
These guys I think are olive eggers (that’s how the eggs were written out) but they could also be Birchen marans

right bird pattern looks promising for black silver, but Marans take a while to fully feather out.

I have a 10 week old rooster that looks exactly like the one with the silver around the neck. I'm dying to know what it is. Please let me know if you find out what yours is! I was sold a "Black Copper Marans pullet" but it ended up to be just like this silver necked rooster you have.
