I think UPDATE

One more question scince they can take so long to hatch how long should I leave the babies in the bator once they are dry

I usually leave the keets in the hatcher until they are completely fluffed and dried, sturdy on their feet and bulldozing around in the hatcher. Usually that's about 8-12 hours after hatching, or I'll leave them over night if they hatch later in the evening, and then move them over to the brooder in the morning. I don't move them if they are still wet and wobbly on their feet, I give them more time. They can survive 3 days easily on the remaining yolk they absorbed prior to hatching.

Never? Mine are a little noisy in the hatcher, but always happy and chirping/peeping when they are eating and active in the brooder, and always quiet and content when sleeping in the glow of the brooder lamp. Usually noisy keets in the brooder are unhappy keets... (too cold, too warm, out of food or water etc)

What day is this into the hatch?

Also... I love your chicken wire idea to sit the eggs in! I usually hatch in cardboard eggs cartons, but I'll have to try that some time.

Mine almost always hatch on day 25-26, I don't know what their deal is. I had my first gooney baby hatch today. I set the egg on the 8th so it hatched on day 25. Nothing else hatches early, just the guineas. But that's okay, means I can set more eggs sooner

Congratulations. I have 4 now. What attitudes they have already. I love it. They are adorable. This is so exciting.
