she is a hatchery barred rock. hatcheries do not breed to standard but breed for production thus birds you get from hatcheries can have bad over al body color, the wrong, wrong ear lob color, wrong body type, wrong leg color, ect.

You know, it's quite interesting reading their description for their Rainbow Layers. It's all so vague and 'no guarenteed breeds'. I almost wonder if they just toss accidental crosses into these orders, or experimental projects. Interesting!

Yes, very interesting. I do not really care if she is not to breed standard or even is a mixed breed, I'm just curious why she looks so different from the others!
