I thought it was fowl pox, now I'm not sure

So I'm not alone! Believe me, I've gotten way to many looks from people when they look over my shoulder and see me perusing the emergencies, diseases, and cures thread...lol

While I have to admit, pus pics are not my favourite

I am also guilty of lurking in the emergencies, diseases and cures thread.

They are so very educational. A lot of the things I have not had to deal with but the knowledge gained will be invaluable if I should need it.

It also helps if you happen to come across a thread where the poster has similar circumstances to those you have read; it gives them a good place to start.

Also, I find it a great place to get an idea of ‘who knows their stuff’

I feel weird that I enjoy looking at the photos of pus...am I abnormal? Well, the question is, am I MORE abnormal than I thought?

I totally agree and nope, you're definitely not alone. Count me in for needing to see the nasty stuff as well.

To be able to look at what's going on...it helps a person to understand what's going on, why it's going on...and what you have to do to deal with it and hopefully fix it. Some people can't deal very well with this stuff. We're very fortunate that we can.

I caught a rooster yesterday and noticed he has a blister like thing on his keel and of course the first thing I think out doing is lancing it.

Y'all are so funny! I actually enjoy looking at the pics too. I sent them to my son in the Army and he was like "Why are you sending these to me??" lol
The girls are doing good. I actually think Caramel (the one with the double eye infection) is blind in one eye. She kept having yellow pus reoccur. I would get it out each morning and dr it the best I could. But now that eye's iris is a lighter color and she is definitely favoring the other side. I'm seriously just so happy she can see at all. Her eyes were SO bad. And she seems to be getting along fine. She's eating well and happy. No one has picked on her at all, which surprises me. The pox on both are pretty much cleared up as well. I need to get more pics. I'll try to remember to today.
