I thought this was a buff orpington...

but now I'm not sure. It sure looked like one when it was a chick. Any thoughts on what breed it is? And is it a rooster? I was hoping for a hen I've looked at lots of pictures on the internet, but none look like this.

It has RIR in it, but it doesn't look too much like an RIR. Maybe a mix?

that is an EE!! it has green legs and its body screams EE! and it a roo, i had one that looked EXACRLY LIKE IT

I agree! Very pretty bird! It does look like a RIR/EE/comet kinda mix!

When people would ask my Mom what nationalty she was she would say, 25% german, 25% norwegion and 50% hienz 57! You should name her Heinz! Or 57!
