I tilled my garden .. ha ha to all you snow folk..

We planted tomatos and onions today and as soon as our other seeds come in (maybe tomorrow) we will be planting blue potatos, and other stuff. In march I will be planting yellow meated watermelons as well as orange meated watermelons. I am going to make wine out of the watermelons. I might even mail a member or two (byc members) a bottle or two. Maybe a contest or something.

Also making raised beds for blackberries for wine.

I saw your garden pictures in the other forum. You are going to have a fine garden.

I am so jealous. There is still over a foot of snow in our yard and more coming.

It's nice to look at your pictures and dream of a snowless yard.

The only thing that is good here is it's up to 30 degrees during the day. Finally! Almost a heat wave.

Maybe next year we will retire to a warmer state......wishful thinking!!

Thankfully it got warm enough here last week that it melted the snow and the 2 inches of ice that was under it. I managed to get out and turn the dirt in the garden to try and freeze out any little weeds in there. It was a least a little fix of gardening.

Oh, I LOVE summer. Its gets so hot and humid here. Its unbelievable how skimpy the fairer sex dress here during the summer. We put the VIP in the water and head off to the bay, OMG.

<---------------------cant wait till summer

Its always interesting to watch as I drive south and see what I have always considered annuals be referred to as perennials. Just in moving from MI to PA I upped almost 2 full zones and have a lot more perennials in my herb garden than I ever had back in good ole MI.
