OK so I got out yesterday and changed the netting on the coop (to keep em in) I think that this netting is quite a bit less eye catching.. the white netting distracted from my design..
I also took some more pictures of the trees on the outside of the garden.. My mom wanted to see more of this area..
we're still frozen-solid here in Central Alberta Canada - there'll be NO garden planting until late May and tomatoe plants don't go into the ground until June 1 ... Lots of snow and ice & yep we're pretty much sick of it all

Most of these were planted on 2/11 in little jiffy peat pods the kind you soak with water to get them to expand.. I have 198 of those right now..
I made the mistake to keep the lid on in our humid weather.. and there is a little mold on one flat.. is that a major problem.. it is just a tiny bit I uncovered them?? I am going to post this on a new thread so that I get move views.
But I have more seeds comming in the mail from the swaps so I need to get some more of those pods..
This made me giggle! You and I have something in common. Around here the big "planting" weekend is Memorial Day weekend! If you have it in before then, people just shake their head at you, because you are sure to get frost damage!
So they are usually shaking their heads at me because I choose to do mine a week or so earlier. My DH birthday falls around that weekend and it is a huge camping/family gathering. Fun!
Nice looking garden yard you have going there. I've been converting ours since we moved in a year and a half ago; can't wait till things green up so I can see what did/didn't survive through this crazy winter. I did an initial till to turn the winter compost under in my garden back in early January when we had a couple of warm, dry days in a row....then winter hit
I planted a ton of fruit trees and berry bushes last year. The chickens love to help expand any garden area where I have just been digging...they are so helpful
Good luck with your yard, keep the pictures coming so we can see how its going.
