When I was a kid on the farm my mother used boric acid powder and mixed it with a bit of warm water. She took a cloth or cotton ball dipped in it and a few times a day would wipe the outside of the eye to keep the funk off. Never IN the eye.Then she used some medication she got from the vet (antibiotic) and medicated the eye as directed. Try calling the vet and getting a tube of the appropriate stuff. It shouldn't cost much, and the bunny will thank you for it.

silkie-mom......hi, i do have some boric acid type eye wash for cats...opti-clear....it has boric acid, edetate disodium,sodium borate,sodium chloride,sorbic acid....could i also use this?..thanks, Wendy
