I love it i love it, that's the best thing I have heard all day..
let's go shopping...
Should i take my RIR
or a couple of Maran chicks...
or does it depend on where you are shopping? and what you are wearing????
I really hadn't given it any thought that a chicken could have a personality until that RIR hen found me..
I have named her Henny Penny and she allows me to pick her up, loves to have the back of her neck scratched.
DH saw me yesterday holding and petting her. He looked at me and pointed his finger. He said " NO the chicken is not coming in the house!!"
I said honey I wouldn't there is not enough room, I have to move a dog when I roll over in bed now. But ya know she really doesn't take up that much room....
She ( Scarlet ) and I just discussed our plan for tomorrow. Guess we'll be going shopping again to the farm store. I will take a pic tomorrow. Careful of letting your girls in the house..........she's on a pillow like she's the real "Miss Fluff" eating her crumbles and drinking pedialite out of a GB Packer Shot glass. (Guess she's a packer backer like the rest of us). Right by the 72 lb dog and our cat.
I suppose tonight she'll want popcorn!!!
Where do I find a wheelchair for a chicken??? We've BONDED
LOL, I had a baby cockatiel that I raised from day 1, starts off with feedings every 2 hours, then moves to 3, then 4 - you see how it goes. She went everywhere with me in her basket, a basket with a handle. The basket had a heating pad on the bottom, layers of towels and washcloths. A large cloth was used to cover the whole thing. When we were out and about with no electricity availalbe, I nuked a good size potato and wrapped it in the wash cloth. They radiate heat for a long time. During this time, we had some work done in our house and had to leave for 2 days and 1 night. I even took her to a Dennys, asked for hot tea and used the hot water to make her formula. I took her in the bathroom to feed her. One lady looked at me strangely but just went about her business.
Looks like you and your pullet have much shopping in your future! Good luck.
