Hi everyone!! I lurked and posted and daydreamed for about a year, and now THEY'RE HERE!! Everyone looks healthy, eating, chirping, pooping, snuggling under the brooder. I'm madly in love, and I just hope I can keep them happy.
If you have experience with any of these breeds especially together let me know.
Breeds:
EE
Frizzle EE
White Crested Blue Polish
"Cookies and Cream"
Speckled Sussex
EE
Frizzle EE
Blue Splash Marans

PS is it possible to take chick pics without putting them in a mug?

Congratulations and have fun on your new chicken journey! I have over 100 Easter Eggers of various ages. They are my top favorite "breed" due to their cute beards and ear muffs, and their beautiful shades of eggs. Some of mine are extremely friendly while others are aloof. The blue shell shades range from light blues to rich blues, and the greens range from light mint greens to dark olive greens.

I raised some Polish and Easter egger chicks together years ago. (White-crested black, white crested blue, & silver-laced). The white crested black was one of the sweetest and friendliest hens I've ever had of Any breed. Some report that Polish head feathers get picked and plucked by other breeds, but I didn't experience that problem; my Polish hens were able to wear their bouffants proudly. I am planning to get more Polish "one day."

It feels like eggs are so far away now, but I can't wait to see what colors are in store!
I was worried about my polish being isolated which is why I got the "cookies and cream" (from meyer hatchery) which is supposed to have more of a mohawk than a bouffant so they could hang out if the flock decided feathers on top were uncool. I definitely over thought this. lol
