I took the plunge!!! First chicks

The expressions on those faces! #5 is looking out, like, “seriously, dude? You put me in a cup?” 😂😂 So stinkin cute!
I went and looked at their pictures again after your post and lol-ed. You are so right about their expressions.

"Mo-om; we are gonna need a bigger coop. These ones are already way to small. "😂

If the volume of their chirping is any indicator I've got some big attitudes on my hands 😅

Congrats!!
I’ve had different colored ee’s and they all laid a very light blue egg. The color of egg they lay depends on their genetics 😊

Congrats! They are SOOOOOO CUTE!!!!!

I have 11 brown layers and 1 white layer. I know exactly who lays what, somehow. I didn't set out to figure it out. It just sort of happened.

That said, I gave EEs and a Cream Legbar ordered for May so I can get some color in my egg basket!

Aloha and welcome to chicken world! ♡♡♡ beautiful babies and thanks for the photo share.
I have 1 EE and she is a nice gal who @4years old is giving me 4 blue eggs a week and looks better than ever. Late bloomer 😉 I def will do EE's again, maybe next fall. Please keep us posted on your lovely and diverse little flock.

Trying Cream Legbar and whiting true blue & green, plus another EE & 2 OE this year for more colors!
I'm adding 2 EEs and a Cream Legbar, too! I'm planning on getting a Green Queen next season. Honestly, I may keep trying until I get pink. I really want pink.

My newbies won't come into lay until much later this year. I may bug you for egg pics!

Here is a batch of eggs from this years layers. Hoping our new girls lay before the winter but up in Ny you never know! These are just EE & OE, and Marans crosses for the dark ones.
