I took the plunge!!! First chicks

Thanks, I'll make a note of these. I had brown Leghorns at one time and they laid lovely white eggs, but ... they were just too panicky for my tastes.
I’ll let you know how they are personality-wise. If they are super flighty I might try Ideal’s 236, Production Black, or California Gray’s. They all are listed as docile. We will see. I like the way the Andalusians and Anconas look! ❤️

Thanks, that would be good to know. I guess some would call the Leghorns "flighty." Truth is, I never lost one to a predator. They are alert and reactive. Which is a good thing, in a way. I just didn't like them being so "alert and reactive" to ME, as if they'd never seen me before, after I was the one who fed them twice a day, every day of their lives for nearly three years! That same year I started out with 12 or 15 EE and ended up with 8 making it to adulthood.

I just brought home 2 Leghorns for white eggs. I'm trying REALLY HARD to get them used to me.

Other than these 2, I only have 1 other white layer and 2 cream layers. Everyone else lays brown eggs.
