Thank you ChickWhispers! I've been reading up on the subject. But being new to this, conflicting information gets me to wondering. LOL!!! It's so good to find confirmation.

Thank you, roostersandhens! It's good to be here! Here? Oh no! I see it's going to get colder again! I wonder which will win...........the coop getting done or the weather being warm enough for me to move my babies out into one? Will they take over the house? I suppose not with two little dogs (one hyper) and a very naughty cat lurking nearby. I won't mind them staying in the coop next winter, but I don't want to shock them so soon in their lives this spring (?) . Darn groundhog anyway!

Thank you, Chickenpeep! (I had to read that name twice! I thought it said something else! hehe)

Loved it!

Well, it seems I overdid it, as usual. I was still up at 5:30 checking on the temperature of the brooder, so I've slept half the day away and STILL haven't had enough sleep! Oh well. My little ones are still alive and look alright. I've named the BO Buffy (I know......how original). Now I have to name the other two. I have no clue what to name the other two. I thought about Ethel and Myrtle, but my daughter says I shouldn't name them after any of my deceased aunts. I may have to observe them a while once they've grown a little more to find a trait they have or something. I don't suppose there's a "chicken names" book out there somewhere.
